Lots of treats...no tricks! What a great success! Thanks so much to the Sheperd of the Hills Lutheran Church for the outstanding "trick or treat" event to benefit The Mop Shop. Thanks to the area businesses that provided donation sites, the community members who so generously donated product and the First Community Bank of Galena and the Mission Support group of the Sheperd of the Hills Lutheran Church for their generous financial donations. Paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, buckets, sponges and toilet bowl cleaner were collected in abundance and will be put to good use. Our heartfelt thanks to organizer Becky Wright. Trick or Treat for TMS! A truly spook-tacular event is in the works thanks to the creativity and generosity of the Sheperd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Schapville. During the month of October, "trash cans" have been set up at the church, Pat's Grocery in Scales Mound and Apple River Bank branches in Warren and Elizabeth to collect cleaning supplies and monetary donations for TMS. As you visit these local businesses we invite you to drop off an extra roll of paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent or other household cleaning product. The Mop Shop has now registered nearly 450 clients and family members from ten communities throughout Jo Daviess County. We continue to attract new clients each week. The Mop Shop extends its most sincere appreciation to the congregation and to those who support the cause of helping others. Happy Halloween! (October 2015)
