The Mop Shop News of 2025

EXCITING NEWS!  Galena's Main Street is filled with unique shops, interesting galleries and a plethora of coffee shops and restaurants.  Located at 402 South Main Street, Poopsie's is a fun, funky shop with something special for everyone!  Committed to civic engagement, Poopsie's has given back over $50,000 to the community in the past few years.  In 2024, Poopsie's committed to giving back 1% of sales to local charities.  Recently, The Mop Shop was notified that it was selected as a recipient of Poopsie's generosity this year!  We are extremely grateful for Poopsie's interest in and support of The Mop Shop as we continue serving residents of Jo Daviess County.  Our heartfelt thanks to Poopsie's! To better accommodate our clients, instructions for selecting product currently posted in The Mop Shop have been translated into Spanish by friends at Lord of Love.  The registration forms have also been translated and are now available.  Many thanks to Steve and others for sharing their knowledge to help us better serve members of our community. HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Please visit us at The Mop Shop on Saturday, January 11 or Monday, January 27.  We are open the second Saturday and fourth Monday every month, unless it's a federal holiday.  During the winter month, it's a good idea to check our website to ensure The Mop Shop is open if roads are hazardous due to weather conditions. Your safety and that of our volunteers are our top priority.  Pick up a Jo Daviess County Transit Calendar available at The Mop Shop to ensure you don't miss a distribution date.
