• Since 2020, Poopsie's co-owners Alana Turner and Traci Lyden have given back 1% of all sales to a local charity or charities.  It was an honor for The Mop Shop to be selected as the 2025 recipient of their generosity.  Many thanks to Poopsie's, the Poopettes and all members of the community and visitors to Galena who extended their support to The Mop Shop.  We couldn't do what we do without you.  CLEAN HOMES.  HEALTHY FAMILIES.  STRONGER COMMUNITIES.  Heartfelt thanks to all.  (January 2026)

• Read all about us! The story of The Mop Shop is included in the January issue of Illinois Country Living.  It is beautifully written by Assistant Editor Lisa Cherry.  It is hoped that the article will encourage residents to establish mops shops in their communities.  Two $500 grants have been established in memory of co-founder Missy Dalgarn to support start-up efforts.  Two additional grants are available in Iowa.  Please contact Mindy Dalgarn for further information at melindadalgarn@aol.com.
