We will be open from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. As of May 9, those serving as proxies must present a written statement from friends, family and neighbors to confirm authorization. Thank you! A record high 85 clients were served in February! Although it's heartbreaking to know there are so many in need, we are fortunate to live in a community that responds so generously to those less fortunate. For nearly twelve years, Libman mops, brooms, dustpans and toilet brushes have lined the walls and shelves at The Mop Shop. When Glen McGrath, Director of Trade Marketing, was asked to help us spread the word about what we do and how we do it, he readily agreed! Within forty-eight hours, the social media team had posted links to The Mop Shop website and the story that appeared in the recent issue of Illinois Country Living on their Facebook page! With over 800,000 FB followers, we send heartfelt thanks to the Libman Company for their support. Based in Arcola, IL, the Libman Company is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year! The Mop Shop will be open on Saturday, February 14 and Monday, February 23, from 10:0 am to 12:00 noon. During these winter months, please check our website to confirm scheduled openings. The Mop Shop was thrilled to be the feature story in January's issue of Illinois Country Living. The magazine is sent to over 200,000 members of Illinois electric cooperatives in all 120 counties in Illinois. It is hoped that the well-written, comprehensive story by Assistant Editor Lisa Cherry, will encourage others to establish mop shops in their communities. Thank you Lisa! (February 2026)

Since 2020, Poopsie's co-owners Alana Turner and Traci Lyden have given back 1% of all sales to a local charity or charities. It was an honor for The Mop Shop to be selected as the 2025 recipient of their generosity. It is hoped that the article will encourage residents to establish mops shops in their communities. Two $500 grants have been established in memory of co-founder Missy Dalgarn to support start-up efforts. Two additional grants are available in Iowa.
